A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 5 to 9 or equivalent, including mathematics, English and science, technology, or engineering-related subject.
Applicants are also required to successfully pass assessment before being offered an apprenticeship.

This requires the application of a complex blend of skills, knowledge, and behaviours across the electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems disciplines.
